About the book

Battle Abbey and Battlefield, with a text by BARRY COAD, is a well compiled and lavishly illustrated guide to the Battle of Hastings including a tour of the battlefield, the imposing abbey buildings and a history of the site, illustrated with full-colour maps, reconstruction drawings and historical images. A handy reference to the background, key figures, architecture, artworks and significance of this period in English history, complete with a guide to further reading. 

This first edition was published in 2007 by English Heritage, London, united Kingdom. It has stiff wrap-around card covers, contains 48 pages and despite slight wear, it is in very good condition overall.
