FFD High Build
FFD High Build is a self-priming, 2 component, coloured epoxy resin floor coating, which can be applied at a total thickness between 300 to 450 microns. FFD High Build is non-tainting, solvent and phenol free.
Coverage:
A 5kg unit should cover 20-25m² depending on the porosity & profile of the surface.

AREAS OF USE
FFD High Build is a formulated system used for many years to provide durable, hygienic and protective surfacing of concrete floors and many other rigid surfaces.
Used extensively in the food, aviation, engineering, electronic, chemical, and printing industries.
FFD High Build is smooth or may be finished as a slip-resistant finish.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
PREPARATION
The substrate should be sound and of good strength, the surface should be dry and free from contamination i.e dust, oil or other coatings. The substrate should be textured mechanically to achieve a good key. The substrate must have a moisture content of less than 4% and have an effective damp proof membrane.
If the surface is very uneven, a leveling scrape coat comprising mixed FFD All Purpose Epoxy Resin Primer and fine quartz sand should be applied.
MIXING / APPLICATION
Thoroughly mix FFD High Build by adding the contents of the Hardener container to the Base container and mix using a slow-speed drill & paddle, ensuring that the mixer head is run up & down the sides, and along the bottom of the container to mix in all potential dead-spots. To make sure there is no hang of unmixed material on the mixing container walls after mixing, use a straight-edged object, such as a bucket trowel or spatula, to scrape the sides & bottom of the container into the middle of the Resin, and mix again. Insufficient mixing will always result in a failed cure.
Once thoroughly mixed, immediately pour all of the mixed Epoxy Resin onto your desired surface; if you are cutting-in, pour along your painting route, then use the Resin on the floor with a paintbrush to cut-in. Apply the mixed Epoxy Resin immediately to the floor by roller in two or three coats as required. Do NOT leave the material in the pot on mass once mixed, or it will flash cure faster than the usual pot-life; always pour all of the mixed Epoxy Resin out immediately. Curing time is variable depending on temperature and user application. Only mix the material when you’re ready and use the product quickly.
The second coat is applied 12 to 24 hours after the first and the third coat is applied 12 to 24 hours after the second. THE ANTI-SLIP WILL REQUIRE SOME MAINTENANCE.
To achieve a slip-resistant finish, sprinkle anti-slip aggregate into the second coat of High Build to the desired level of resistance. Allow this to cure overnight, remove excess and loose aggregate and apply a further coat to seal in the aggregate.
Best results are obtained when the temperature of the substrate is between 15°C and 25°C,
Minimum application temperature 7°C. Clean tools etc with FFD Solvent Cleaner before resin has cured.
