The book has crisp green paper boards with black quarter cloth in near fine condition. The corners are sharp and the book has no edgewear. The binding is tight and square. The book is in beautiful condition for this title which if often found with scribbles, writing, ruined spines and other issues that revolve around first edition children's books. The boards are clean with no fading, no stains and no scribbles. The stunning end papers are in perfect condition with one typed bookstore stamp, otherwise no inscriptions, no owner names, no bookstore stamps, no bookplates, no stains, and no tears. The internal pages are clean, and bright with about faded thumb print handling marks, otherwise no writing, no stains, no handling marks, no rips, no tape, and no foxing. Beautiful overall clean, crisp, bright copy of a children's book!.

The scarce original dust jacket is in beautiful bright condition with strong vibrant colors. The unrestored jacket has no edgewear, no chips, no stains and no foxing. One 1/2" intact small tear to rear panel, otherwise no other rip or tears. Touch of slight rubbing to top of spine, and the same bookstore stamp to the inner flap. The jacket is overall very bright, clean and fresh presenting the book beautifully.

A beautiful example of this title presenting very well with the stunning jacket at a great price for this title! Would make a great addition to a collector of rare childrens books.
