This is a collection of 30 superb photos of one of the most beautiful places in the American West. The first 4 are historic images. The remainder were shot in 2002. Not all of these are shown here yet. You can request to substitute all 30 images on a CD (see "CD option" below for details). You will receive thirty 4-inch by 6-inch (4x6) prints that will ship the next business day after you pay, unless you request to substitute the CD. Your request must be made in eBay on the same day that you pay.  

These improved prints have been custom-made for you new, in a photo lab. For the older images, we have taken great care to preserve the sharpness and old look while removing scratches, spots, and other damage that would make them less viewable. We have repaired imperfections and improved tonal values. The photos will be cropped differently than the images shown here, to fit the shape of your prints.

Why buy these photos:  These prints would be good conversation starters in a restaurant, waiting room, lobby, office, library, classroom, or museum. Decorators use our sepia-tone prints in a variety of ways to make them look old. These photos could also be a gift for a history buff or someone who has visited the canyon. They can be resold in a store (see "Wholesale lots" below). Our photos can be used in school reports, presentations, and displays. We own most of these improved images and they must be licensed for use in publications, productions, or other products. Some were taken by photographers who were kind enough to offer them for your use under certain conditions and restrictions known as a Creative Commons License. See "Licenses" below for more information.

Larger-size prints are available, listed separately:  We can make prints from size 5x7 to 20x30. Please click "Ask a question" to ask about prices and how to order. Refer to the image numbers in the list above to specify your choices.

Borders:  Your prints will have minimum borders. This means that there may be some white edges (less than 1/4 inch wide) outside the images so that you can display the maximum amount of the images in typical devices that hide the edges of the prints.

Quality:  We select the highest-quality images we can find and professionally improve them. We will process your prints using modern archival methods so they can be affordable and last for many years.

CD option:  You can request to substitute a CD instead of prints. The CD will contain versions of all of the images, including a few extra cropped close-ups, that are optimized for digital presentations, websites, and e-mail. The images will not exceed 1200 pixels in the longest dimension, and thus may not fill the screen when used for high definition displays. If we have additional information about the image, we will include a text file as well. You must request the CD in eBay on the same day that you pay. The CD and images shall not be printed nor reproduced for sale nor distribution.

Packaging:  We ship 4x6 prints and CDs flat with a stiff board to prevent folding, in a sturdy envelope. 

Shipping time:  Your prints or CD will ship the next business day after we receive your payment. If you purchase additional eBay items from quaintcards to ship together, an extra day may also be required. The time required by the postal services to deliver your package depends on shipping method, Customs requirements, weather, holidays, and other factors beyond our control.

Shipping cost:  This item is sold with packaging materials and handling included. Domestic postage is also included. For destinations outside the U.S.A., buyer pays actual postage.

Copyright:  All of these images except numbers 5 and 7 are copyright-protected and shall not be reproduced without expressed permission. Images 1-4 are significantly restored, cleaned, and improved. Images number 5 and 7 carry Creative Commons licenses that apply to reuse of the images by everyone who possesses them. Information about these Creative Commons licenses will be provided if you receive them on prints or CD. 

Licenses:  For each image to be used, except numbers 5 and 7, a license must be purchased via a separate eBay listing. We list licenses as needed. Click "Ask a question" for more information or to request a license.
