The Exo Terra Glass Terrarium is a reptile or amphibian enclosure designed by European herpetologists. It offers several features that make it an ideal housing option for these animals. The terrarium has front opening doors, allowing easy access for maintenance and feeding. The doors can be opened separately and are equipped with a specially designed lock to prevent escape.

The terrarium also features a full screen top ventilation that allows for UVB and infrared penetration. This ventilation system is completely removable, making it convenient for decorating or cleaning the terrarium. Additionally, the back of the screen cover has 5 closable wire or tube inlets on both sides. These inlets can be used to install various accessories such as Heat Wave Rocks, Waterfalls, and sensors inside the terrarium.

The bottom plate of the terrarium is raised, allowing for the installation of a substrate heater to heat a specific area of the ground surface. This is beneficial for reptiles that require localized heating. The terrarium also has an extra high fixed front window, which is ideal for animals that need thick layers of substrates for burrowing or for creating aquatic parts in a paludarium setup. The front window can also be used to mount an Exo Terra reptile den, providing additional climbing opportunities for the animals.

The natural background of the terrarium is designed to have the same color and texture as other Exo Terra decoration items, such as water dishes, waterfalls, and heat wave rocks. This creates a visually cohesive and harmonized environment for the reptiles. The background is easy to cut and adds a multi-dimensional aspect to the habitat, which is beneficial for climbing reptiles. It can also be used purely for aesthetic purposes to enhance the natural look of the terrarium.

The terrarium can be used with accessories such as the Compact Top Mini PT2225 and the Light Dome for lighting purposes. It is also compatible with hygrometers (PT2477), thermometers (PT2472), and combination meters (PT2470) to monitor humidity, temperature, and other environmental parameters. To ensure security, the terrarium can be locked using the PT2620 lock, preventing unauthorized access to the enclosure.
