This original U.S. lobby card for the 1926 silent film, STRINGS OF STEEL measures 11x14 in. and is in fine condition with wear throughout, including pinholes on all but the left edge, dirt, some light bends and indentations (see images for condition details).

The silent film action drama serial STRINGS OF STEEL was released in 1926 by Universal Pictures. The image depicts inventory Alexander Graham Bell (Alphonse Martell) seated at a work table with various pieces of technology that came together to become the modern day telephone while another man watches in anticipation. The border artwork features another dramatic image of a man climbing a telephone pole as the bottom of the pole is struck by a bolt of lightning. A portrait of the film's co-stars is featured on the bottom on either side of the film's title. The monochrome color tinting is fresh and vibrant and this is a very nice collectible for silent film collectors as well as collectors of telephone and communications related items.

Stuntman Max Marx was killed when a rope snapped while he was performing a stunt. Episode titles: 1. The Voice on the Wire 2. The First Central 3. Fighting for Love 4. The Power of Might 5. Kings of the Wire 6. Voice of the Continent 7. Telephone Poles 8. War of the Wire 9. When Lightning Strikes 10. Love and Victory.
