1.  A 450g bag of Colour Change Chromatic Dental Alginate. It is sealed new and fresh - just bought direct from the supplier so it will have a good shelf life (years) until opened. 
2.  3 x 6cm Modroc Plaster bandage.

5.  A Dedicated Face Casting Help Sheet.

Notes:-
My super skinsafe alginate is relatively slow setting.  My alginate takes 3 minutes for the moulding process (start to finish) which you really need for this process.  You also have a generous mixing time of 2 minutes.  Some alginates take half that time which is simply not enough.  So BEWARE OF THE COMPETITION - check out mixing times.

If you are moulding an adult body part with body hair in close proximity you will need to get and use petroleum jelly to prevent the alginate from sticking to it.  For a face cast, a disposable plastic shower cap to keep hair tidy and covered is useful.  The instructions tell you what to have ready and what other items you will need before you start.

I supply 3kg of casting plaster which is more than enough but it is the best value for money.  Remember the Alginate is for making the mould only.  After making the mould, your model must keep the mould in place on his/her face while you wrap it in Plaster Bandage.  This is to freeze the mould shape otherwise it would just flatten out when taken off the face.  Finally having secured the mould and removed it from the face, you then need to make a casting from your mould.  To do this you need casting plaster which is supplied with this kit.  

Finally, you may also wish to paint your finished masterpiece.  After making the casting let it dry thoroughly then paint with the supplied brilliant metallic paint or leave neutral if that was your choice.  Then you can varnish your finished product if necessary.  Varnish protects the finished product and can be bought separately in our ebay shop.
