Here is a beautiful and highly collectible early american pattern glass butter dish manufactured by Gillinder and Sons starting in 1879. The pattern is called "Westward Ho", also known as "Pioneer" and "Tippecanoe".  This covered butter dish is clear with frosting and measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter. It was part of the table set. I believe this is an original piece due to the detailing on the native american finial as well as the clarity and lack of distortion to the lid landscape that is found on reproductions. Perfect condition with no chips, cracks or damage. Great for your collection.

Please buy with confidence for this item is returnable.  For more Westward Ho items as well as other EAPG, visit my ebay store.
