Speakon to 1/4" Jack lead. Made up with Genuine Neutrik NL2FXX-W-S 2 pole Speakon connector, Rean NYS225 1/4" Jumbo Jack plug and 1.5mm² 2 core Speaker cable.
4 percent lead free silver solder is used in the construction of this lead - this makes for a long lasting solder joint that is harder than standard solder..
Neutrik make the NL2FXX-W-S Speakons with high grade quality materials that are far better than any non branded Speakon connector. All our connectors we use are Neutrik 100% genuine. The 1/4" Jack plug is Neutrik Rean Jumbo Jack plug which is specifically designed for loudspeaker applications. The cable used is made in Germany, it is hard wearing. The cable has the writing on it "Touring Grade Loud Speaker 1.5mm² Made in Germany" printed all the way along it. We selected this cable as it was the best we could find with budget in mind. We have a rule if we wouldn't feel comfortable and confident using it ourselves then we won't sell it to our customers. Quality is the key thing we look for.
Connections are made on +1 -1 on each of the NL2FXX-W-S Speakon on this lead.
This lead is designed to go between any passive speaker cabinet and a power amplifier. Connections are made on +1 -1 connections within the 2 pole NL2FXX-W-S Neutrik Speakon connector.
Connections on the Jack plug tip connects to the +1 pole on the Speakon. Sleeve connects to the -1 on the Speakon. This a standard configuration that suits most applications where a passive loudspeaker is used. The cable is soldered to the solder contacts inside the Jack plug, we then heatshrink over the cable crimp grip part and the soldered connections of the connector and then screw the rear shell on. Many other cable makers do not do this!
All the components on this lead are genuine. Neutrik have improved and patented the design of the Speakon and have gone a long way to stop counterfeit Speakons being produced. Do not be fooled into buying inferior copied versions that exist, they will break and let you down when you need them the most. Have confidence in the fact you are buying a connector that is 100% genuine and has all the Neutrik logos on the connector.
Typical applications for this lead are:
PA systems between power amplifier output and passive speaker
Powered mixer output to passive speaker
From an active speaker's Speakon output to passive extension speaker
Bass or Lead guitar amplifier head output to speaker cab
Linking speaker cabs together
Note a passive speaker is a speaker cabinet without a built in amplifier and is driven solely by a power amplifier.
Cable Length - Important
PLEASE MEASURE UP CAREFULLY TO AVOID ERRORS
Leads 1m or less (patch leads) will be measured visible cable from the rear black boot of the connector. We add 100mm of cable FREE to compensate for the connectors.
Leads over 1m will be measured cut length of cable. The connectors use up 100mm of cable.
If you need any specific length or need a little extra please ask - it can be made to that length as these are made to measure when we receive the order. Contact through ebay messages.

We use 4 percent silver solder on this lead, which give a shiny, hard finish to the soldered joint. The flux in the solder also neutralises. Standard lead free solders are softer and flux can erode the soldered joint over time. We make the extra effort to give you a better made lead over other leads.
