Offered is an Edinburgh silver toddy or sauce ladle in the Oar pattern.

It was assayed in Edinburgh during 1818/9 by AW (possibly Andrew Wilkie).

The ladle is 6 inches long, with the bowl being 1/2 an inch deep with a 1 3/4 inch diameter. It weighs 26.6 gms or 0.85 troy ounces. The terminal has ownership initials of JEC in script. Condition has suffered with a slight indent on the bottom of the bowl and a slightly mishapen lip that should be easily straightened.
