This Rustley Moire Satin Dressing Gown is a Lovely example of the Grace & Elegance Exemplified in the Silver Screen personas. Katharine Hepburn wore a Gown similar to this one in Philadelphia Story and Woman of the Year.
From The Halle Bros. Co., Cleveland, Ohio this Beautiful Vintage Dressing Gown features:
Medium weight Moire Taffeta in Red/Orange
Black Veleteen Collar
4 Self Fabric covered Buttons
2.5" Cuffed Long Sleeves, may be cuffed or not for length adjustment
Fitted shirtwaist style
Thin Shoulder Pads
Bias Cut Skirt
Stunning 150" Sweep
Modest Train, Slightly Longer in Back
Inside seam edges are "Pinked"
Pristine Condition, appears to be "never worn"
The original belt is missing. It is shown with a 2 1/4" wide Black Grosgrain Ribbon which is included. (no buckle)
2 concealed snaps; 1/2 of each (included) needs to be resewn
