Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat is an American fantasy comedy film directed by Bo Welch based on the 1957 Dr. Seuss book. It stars Mike Myers in the title role of the Cat in the Hat, Dakota Fanning as Sally and Spencer Breslin as Sally's brother. Filming took place in California for three months. It was praised for costume design, production design and make up effects.

Babe is a comedy-drama film, co-written and directed by Chris Noonan. It is an adaptation of Dick King-Smith's 1983 novel Babe: The Gallant Pig, which tells the story of a pig who wants to be a sheepdog. The main animal characters are played by a combination of real and animatronic pigs and Border Collies. Seven years in development. Filmed in Robertson, New South Wales, Australia. The talking-animal visual effects were done by Rhythm & Hues Studios and Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Nominated for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay, winning Best Visual Effects. It also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and the Saturn Award for Best Fantasy Film.

Beethoven is a family comedy film, directed by Brian Levant and starring Charles Grodin and Bonnie Hunt. The film is the first in the Beethoven film series. It was written by John Hughes and Amy Holden Jones. The story centers on a St. Bernard dog named after the composer Ludwig van Beethoven owned by the Newton family.
