Originally printed in approximately 1935, the Caterpillar - Turning Precision into Performance book is an engineers or machinists dream. It is essentially a guided tour of the Caterpillar Plant in Peoria, Illinois, and lays out the precision inspection, gauging and testing of all components from the smallest to the very large in their plant. Testing procedures are described in great detail, with each process and procedure illustrated with photographs and drawings. It gives a rare insight into the layout and equipment on the factory floor and shows technicians at work putting these testing procedures to work.
This is a reprint from the restored original, with semi-gloss covers and high quality paper throughout - 40 pages in total. Posted in acid-free protective sleeve in document envelope and marked 'Do not bend'.
