Photonis XP5312 PMT Photomultiplier Tube with 130M Voltage Divider Kit, and Silicone Coupling Compound. This PMT KIT comes with everything you need to modify it with a modern resistor network. Once modified and combined with a scintillator, these PMTs make an excellent detector for use with Ludlum meters, Gamma Spectacular HV Bias Drivers, and Theremino PMT adapter. These work great with plastic scintillators, but they are high resolution PMTs, so combining with a spectroscopy quality scintillator crystal will provide a great detector for gamma spectrometry use. These tubes are able to provide 6.5% or better FWHM resolution for Cs137 when coupled to a quality NaI(Tl) crystal.

Ships with the Data Sheet showing the correct pin-out, and fully illustrated instructions for modifying the voltage divider. Includes high quality Metal Film 1% resistor set, Ceramic High Voltage Capacitor, two Silver Plated Copper Teflon coated Wire leads, and Silicone Coupling Compound (for coupling of your crystal to the PMT).

Installing the Voltage Divider in this kit is fairly easy and requires solder and de-solder equipment and some basic tools on your part. I provide everything else you need in the pictured kit to make the new voltage divider, with easy to follow illustrated instructions included with your purchase. The standard kit includes parts to install a 130M resistor chain. If you prefer a different value, just let me know in advance of your purchase. 

This is a 3 inch (76mm) diameter, Head-on type, Bialkali photocathode PMT. The maximum spectral response is 290 to 650 nm, peaking near 420nm, originally designed for NaI or plastic scintillator based gamma cameras. Once modified, these PMTs are great for Scintillation Counting and an excellent choice for Gamma Spectrometry, with a low profile and High PHR. They are driven easily by voltages starting around 600 volts, and normal operating voltage is 750 to 900 volts (Maximum recommended 1100 volts). 

These are NOT the typical 30 to 50 year old tubes often found on eBay (usually sold with no guarantee of operation, from sellers who would not know how to test one in the first place). This listing is for a modern high performance high quality PMT, one that normally sells for many hundreds of dollars when purchased new. Each tube leaves my lab tested and guaranteed to satisfy. This kit does not included a wired PMT, just the PMT, parts, and instructions to wire it. The last two pictures are shown to illustrate what the PMT should look like once wired, according to the included parts and directions.
