Description:   This is the Royal Mail pattern of the original Myott Son & Company that was recreated from the original lithographs by the Churchill pottery. This pattern is often confused with the Blue Willow pattern and the Currier Ives Harvest Heritage pattern.  Dimensions: The cup is a little over 3" in diameter at the lip, 1.75" at the foot and stands 2.625" tall. The plate is 5.625" in diameter and rises 0.875" in height.

Condition:  Item is in excellent condition, never used.

Note:  A 1949 fire at Myott Son & Co’s Alexander Pottery, Staffordshire, destroyed all of their pattern books. In the coming years they were bought and merged multiple times with other potteries. In 1991 they were bought by the Churchill Group of potteries who have restored many of the old patterns working from the original lithographs.
