Description: This Vintage 1917 Paper Dolls "Betty's Bonnet's Army & Navy Cousins" was a WWI series in the Ladies Home Journal. The paper dolls are by Sheila Young. There are two men paper dolls and clothes for an Army soldier and one for a Navy soldier. The hats are great and there is a dog also. There are instructions at the bottom of the page on how to make the paper dolls. On the other side of page is some cross stitch.

The first magazine paper dolls probably appeared in "Godey's Lady's Book" in 1859, but the practice of including a page for children in magazines became widespread in the early 20th century.
