This ad is for an ENGINEER PA-20 precision crimping tool & is targeted for crimp pins that use AWG #28 to #16 wire (typically 2.5 to 5mm pitch connector pins).

 If your crimp pin happens to be listed against both the PA-09 & PA-20, then your purchase decision comes down to whether you think you're going to be crimping more frequently with thinner gauge wire  - choose the PA-09 (AWG #32 to #20) Click here to see the PA-09 listing or with thicker wire choose the PA-20 (AWG #28 to 16 wire) here  in this advert.

A quick word about the mfr crimp pin part naming - if your *exact* pin type is not listed in the application chart above, bear in mind that the crimp pin manufacturers often change the first character to indicate the type of packaging the pin is delivered in (e.g. loose pins, tape/reel etc). For example, a "JST" PH series SPH-002T-P0.5S is exactly the same crimp pin as a BPH-002T-P0.5S  .....& a JST SXH-001T-P0.6 is exactly the same pin as a BXH-001T-P0.6 & so on - so it might be prudent to check for your pin on the pin compatibility chart by initially ignoring the first character.

Also, please note - the crimp pin compatibility chart is not meant to be 'all encompassing', but serves to illustrate the 'confirmed' list to date, thereby allowing you to get a flavour for the crimp connectors these crimp tools are targeted for. If your intended crimp type is not listed, it doesn't necessarily mean this crimp tool will not be suitable - it just means it hasn't been confirmed by the factory yet (there are an awful lot of crimp variants for them to check!).... please drop us a line for confirmation.

 

Crimp manufacturers often ask many hundreds of $$$$$ for just one specific dedicated crimping tool (ie that you can only use it on ONE crimp pin type!), which puts the ability to crimp such small pins both neatly *and* professionally outside the financial reach of most hobbyists, semi-pros etc :-(    This crimping tool is not to be confused with Chinese/Taiwanese low quality crimping tools (which also typically only crimp one Mfr crimp type), this is a precision tool of very high quality (Made in Japan)  - so you can now achieve that 'pro finish' on very many types of different Manufacturer crimp types - yet at a fraction of the cost of just one of their own crimp tools!

After viewing the videos, just recall the awful results achieved trying to crimp mini crimp pins with unsuitable tools like long nose pliers!  Time to do this properly.


It should be noted  that many crimping tools on Ebay are typically 'one trick ponies'...in that they're targeting one specific manufacturer crimp type ...eg "molex crimp".....remember, this precision tool is capable of crimping different manufacturer's crimps. Also, when buying on Ebay, you're often left on your own to decide whether the tool will be compatible (i.e. a leap of faith is needed) - but we aim to give you full pre & post sales support & have direct links to the manufacturer who will speedily answer any questions about your crimp type.
