Strategy & Tactics #209 with Bonus Counters and More!!

Indochina War: The French in Vietnam designed by Joseph Miranda and winner of the 2002 Charles S. Roberts Award for Best Magazine-Published Game!

International buyers save $20+ by shipping First Class Mail International with insurance. I can fit up to four S&Ts into one package for huge savings! See below for details.

Complete, Unplayed, and Unpunched!

The cover (low grade excellent condition as there are several slight flaws such as generally light creasing, slight scuffing near the spine, and fading in the yellow band at the top, though the cover is still nice to view, see enlargeable pictures), magazine with rules attached (near new condition with smooth unmarked pages and only minor flaws), full-color 34"x22" map (high grade excellent to near new condition with slight fold flake wear along one section of the folds), and 280 counters (unpunched and in new condition, very glossy and colorful) are all in high grade excellent to new condition, except for the cover.  One of the hardest to acquire issues of Strategy & Tactics with an excellent bonus!!

The bonus includes copies of the 11 variant counters from S&T #224 and the directions for their use. Also included are official errata and clarifications, and 15+ pages of seemingly (though I do not claim the expertise in this area to assess their quality) intricately designed variants along with 2 additional scenarios!!  Some to all of the bonus will be emailed upon shipment of the game.

Indochina War is a 2 player simulation with two scenarios (Assault on the Red River and Dien Bien Phu) covering each of the two French Indochina campaigns (1946 to 1954). Ultimately, the French were defeated and the Communists took control of North Vietnam setting the stage for the U.S. war. At Dien Bien Phu the French successfully coaxed the Vietnamese away from their campaign of guerilla warfare and into a major conventional engagement, only to be strategically outclassed by the Vietnamese in that as well. Conventional and guerilla warfare are detailed in the rules, though the major offensives receive the most attention. Winner of the 2002 Charles S. Roberts Award for Best Magazine-Published Game!

See my listings for fine Wargames (with an expanding number of Avalon Hill titles), Variant Counter Sets (of my own design) for a number of Avalon Hill and Strategy & Tactics games, and over 60 unpunched Strategy & Tactics. As this is being written, I have over half of the 40+ year run of Strategy & Tactics available for sale!! I will be listing them on eBay as quickly as possible. Please email if looking for specific issues between 120 and 249.

Many items are in stock that I have yet to list, with more coming from the collectors I work with! Feel free to send a want list of games and/or magazines.

My collection has many UNPUNCHED gems! Put me on your favorites list if you want high quality out of print games. New arrivals are put on auction every week featuring SPI (flat pack, boxed, and monster), AH, GDW, Yaquinto, Victory Games, many gaming magazines, and more.

Potentially useful Information and assurances:

1) Each item will be well packed and incidental damage to the outer box or envelope should not result in damage to the item.

2) See what you get, I use larger images than many.

3) Generally, I will ship within 4 business days of payment.

    4) The items are smoke and odor free (aside from a slight fragrance of old ink) unless otherwise stated.

Shipping: All single magazine orders are shipped with the magazine securely between two pieces of cardboard inside a bubble pack envelope. This method has proven totally effective thus far in my shipments and in those of other eBayers with whom I have communicated with.

I ship using the United States Postal Service. Inside the continental United States: I charge $6.00 to ship Media Mail for this magazine. If preferred I can ship Priority Mail for $10.00 for all shipping and handling. I charge $2.00 handling for each additional item shipping with this one.

I have years of experience in shipping items world-wide. I welcome international customers though the extra time and emails involved in dealing with international shipping issues force me to charge $8.00 for the labor and materials involved plus the actual shipping costs. For the $8.00 fee for international purchases you get professional highly protective packaging that is also light weight. I charge $3.00 handling for each additional item. If choosing First Class Mail International the handling fees are $10, but the shipping costs are generally $20 less than Priority Mail International and the purchase will be FULLY INSURED!!! Buyers choosing Priority Mail International will be charged $10 in handling fees, but $2 will be refunded when the item ships.

Not all nations can be shipped via this method of FCMI. Buyer agrees to cancel this transaction (after all payments have been refunded) without leaving feedback if the seller decides the shipping address given is not acceptable for this FCMI service. In the event of loss or damage the buyer agrees to fully and honestly fill out all forms required by my insurer and that any compensation for loss or damage will not be due until the insurer has settled the case.

I do customs forms (honestly and legally). Please do NOT ask me to undervalue for customs or mark items as "gifts". It would be a waste of time.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item or shipping charges. These costs are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

eBay requires sellers to use their shipping calculator, which is prone to charge more than I do for shipping. Any discrepancies between actual shipping costs and the eBay calculated shipping costs will be resolved in favor of actual shipping costs and the policies stated within this listing. Overcharges under $1.00 will not be automatically refunded (as my customers have generally told me not to do so) unless the payment notice specifically states "please refund any shipping overcharge even if under $1.00". Overcharges of $1.00 or more will be automatically refunded unless notified "Do not refund any shipping overcharge."

Please email if a guaranteed shipping cost is desired and allow up to 30 hours for a reply. Generally, I think I have gotten the responses out within 12 hours, but sometimes it does take longer. The products I sell and the materials I package them in vary greatly in size and weight. I apologize for any inconvenience, but these items cannot be packed prior to sale as my buyers frequently combine shipping and eBay requires the use of their shipping calculator though it often overcharges the buyer. Most of these situations are particular to international purchases.

Shipping: I assume total responsibility for adequately packing your items. It is a point of honor that the items reach you in the condition shown and as my feedback attests I have an outstanding record of delivery.

Important Terms: If payment is not made within 3 days of the auction ending, then an email stating when payment will be made is REQUIRED. Payment is due within 10 days of the auction ending, unless I have agreed prior to 10 day deadline to extend the period. I reserve the right to relist items and dissolve auction results with no negative feedback by bidders if any of these terms of this listing are violated. If an item is returned and must be shipped a second time there is a $4 fee.

Other terms: Items in all auctions are sold as-is and all sales are final. Happy to respond to emails, but bidding is an agreement to take the item as described. Prevention is the best solution to problems, so I take great care in the pictures and descriptions above. If you have an issue, please email.
