Tamper Proof Electrical Switch Keys

The Hubbell #1209 Electrical Switch Key, is the current and newest tamper proof switch key used by Hubbell in conjunction with their Commercial Grade Tamper Proof Locking Electrical Switches. The way in which these electrical switches work is the janitor or custodian simply inserts the switch key into the tamper proof electrical switch, turns the switch to the ON or OFF position and then removes the key so no one other than the person with the key can tamper with the switch.

This type of tamper proof switch is primarily used in Hallways, Auditoriums, Gymnasiums, Foyers and main areas of Elementary, Middle School, and High Schools to prevent students from turning lights on or off. These switches are also used for raising and lowering gymnasium basketball hoops. In addition to Elementary & High Schools, this type of tamper proof switch is also used in commercial building where the switch cannot be accessed by the general public such as Libraries, Corporate Main Foyer, Hospital Complexes, University Campuses, and Local, State & Federal Buildings.
