A Recess Measurement is the exact wall to wall measurement at the smallest point with no deductions. We will make a 1cm reduction to the width to ensure the headrail fits, and a 0.6cm reduction to the drop to ensure the vanes do not foul the windowsill when operating.

Recess Size
When fitting a blind into a recess, measure wall to wall inside of it, at the top, middle and bottom, and let us know the smallest measurement.
Measure the drop from ceiling to sill of the recess at the left, middle and right and let us know the smallest size.
We make a 1cm reduction to the width, and a 0.6cm reduction to the drop of the blind, to ensure the blind fits, and the vanes do not foul the sill when operating.
Blind Size
When fitting a blind outside the recess, measure the width and drop you would like the entire blind to cover.
We usually recommend an overlap from the window opening of 10cm on the width and drop to ensure good coverage.
Because the headrail and trucks are 4.5cm tall, the length of the vanes will be this much shorter than the exact blind size you provide.
Blackout vertical blinds are a stunning way to finish off your windows in bedrooms, conservatories or even fitted in front of patio doors.
The 3 pass blackout fabric doesn't allow any light to pass through whilst also offering thermal insulation for the room. Please be aware that this is not a total blackout blind as you will have some light enter between the slats.
All of our blinds are made to measure to fit your window perfectly, and can either be top fitted to the celing above, or face fitted to the wall behind the blind.
We supply your blind with an easy to use, child safe wand control, which can be twisted to tilt the slats, and pulled across to draw the blind. The wand attaches to the front vane of the bunch. Please note, for a split stack you will receive 2 wands; one attached to each bunch.

- Vanes are made with a three pass blackout fabric so no light passes through the material with a colour coordinated backing. Due to the nature of a vertical blind, you will get some light leakage between vanes, and where the vanes attach to the headrail.
- Vanes supplied with welded bottom pockets to ensure no pin holes and supplier with hangers, bottom weights and chains.
- 10 Year guarantee included.
To fit within a recess
- Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom, and provide us with the smallest size.

- Advise us when ordering that this is a recess measurement.
- We will then make the blind to fit within this space, reducing the overall width of the blind by 1cm, and the drop of the overall blind by 0.6cm to ensure the blind fits within the space.
To fit outside of a recess
- Measure the space which you would like the blind to cover. We usually recomend adding 10cm onto size of your opening to the overall width of the blind, to minimise light leakage.
- Provide us with width and drop which you would like, and advise that this is an exact blind size.
- Please note, because the headrail and trucks take up 4.5cm, the vanes on your blind will be this much shorter than the overal blind size drop.
Please note, these blinds are suitable for top or face fixing, and are not suitable for side fixing.

- Any environmental effects (excessive heat, water/moisture damage, mould)
- Normal fading of fabrics and dyes
- Failure to follow measurement or installation instructions
- Failure to follow maintenance guidelines
- Fitting the product in a non domestic environment
