Tri rated cables are manufactured and designed for use in wiring of switch, control, metering and instrumentation panels and the internal connections in motor starters and controllers.
Please note that cable less than 100m will NOT be supplied on drums.

The name tri rated cable, refers to the three international standards that it conforms to:
- BS6231 Type CK (British Standard).
- UL 1015 Approval (American - Underwriters Laboratory).
- CSA type TEW (Canadian Standards Association).
Specifications:
- 0.5mm² has a maximum current rating of 11 amperes
- 0.75mm² has a maximum current rating of 14 amperes
- Voltage rating: 600 volt RMS
- Conductor stranding: flexible plain annealed copper
- Insulation: heat resistant PVC
- Maximum temperature 105°C
- Conforms with UL VW-1 vertical wire flame test
The maximum current ratings shown above are based on a single cable in free air in an ambient temperature of 45°C with a maximum conductor temperature of 105°C.
