Fresherpack's aluminium foil bags are a fantastic product for long term food storage of rice, pluses, dried beans, flour, sugar etc for 10 to 20 years plus.
These very large aluminium foil bags are 50x75cm in size or 5 gallon size and are designed to hold up to 20kg of food or non-product e.g comics, clothes, vinyl records etc. Depending on the density of what you are sealing, for example for flour you will get about 17kg to 20kg into the bag, for pasta you would get about 10kg into the bag.
Our aluminium foil bags are a quality product made in the USA and are are 5.1 mil thick, most are around the 3.5 mil mark. This extra thickness is important as this offers extra protection from the UV (ultra-violet) in sunlight and also from oxygen penetration for the air around which keeps your food fresh for as long as possible. This extra thickness also makes the bags hard to puncture by accident.
Use a constant heat crimped sealer to get the perfect secure seal everytime, please see our other items. Or to seal you can just use your household clothes iron to seal the bags on the high setting, with the steam turned off, which works fine with a little practice.
