The pins facilitate ease of installation in your through-hole PCB--simply press-fit this capacitor through the holes and youve got connectivity between this cap and your PCB circuit! Tin plating to all mating surfaces provides excellent solder flow and adherence, if soldering the holder to the PCB is the order of the day. The first group of through-hole pins are electrically connected to the capacitor leads; the other two groups towards the rear of the capacitor are not--they anchor the cap holder to your PCB.
