Rayfall HP3A LED Head Torches are super-high brightness, incredibly versatile and feature-packed. These head torches can be used for cycling, climbing, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, car maintenance, etc, and also make for a great emergency light, that leaves your hands free, both at work and around the home.  Please note, whilst these head torches can be used for jogging and running, the lighter and even more compact HP1A model that we supply will better suit these specific activities.

Rayfall HP3A Head Torches offer great value for money, providing a specification and performance equal to (if not better) than many far more expensive, leading brand name head torches. DO NOT mistake Rayfall Head Torches for low cost, low specification, poorly made budget LED head torches that flood the market, and falsely claim ridiculously high lumens - often in the thousands!  Rayfall Head Torches are high quality, high specification, high performance units manufactured to a very high standard. These head torches feature the very latest super-bright CREE XP-E R3 LED technology, making them amongst the most powerful compact head torches on the market!

A feature of Rayfall HP3A Cree XP-E R3 LED Head Torches that is usually only found on much more expensive head torches is the incorporation of regulated, constant current electronics. What this means is that unlike low cost LED head torches whereby the light output continually diminishes as the battery energy is used up, the clever little electronics inside a Rayfall LED Head Torch maintains the current required to operate the LED at high brightness even as the battery voltage drops. This provides a light output that is constant throughout the burn time (the lifetime) of the batteries.   

Another feature of Rayfall HP3A Cree LED Head Torches is that, unlike most compact head torches, Rayfall Head Torches have two switches, one for the main white LED and one for the twin red LEDs. This means that you do not have to toggle through the white LED modes to reach the red LED function. Switching red LEDs button while the white LED is on automatically extinguishes the white LED, and vice versa.

The white LED is a high light output CREE XP-E R3 LED and features 4 modes: High, Medium, Low and SOS Flashing mode. The night vision red LEDs have two modes, one ON mode and a flashing mode. Note: the white LED SOS mode is a true EMERGENCY 'SOS' SIGNAL, providing a continuous sequence of 3 dots, 3 dashes and 3 dots in a repetitive cycle. The red LEDs do not have the range of the white LED, but allows you to see at night in close proximity without affecting your night vision and does not attract biting insects as does the white light. Great for reading at night or sitting around a camp fire when you don’t want to blind your companions.

• The maximum light output setting for the white LED is 160 lumens, giving a range of around 100 metres and 30 hours burn time
• The medium light output setting for the white LED is 75 lumens, giving a range of around 60 metres and 55 hours of burn time
• The low light output setting for the white LED is 10 lumens, giving a range of around 9 metres and a burn time of 120 hours
• The SOS white LED flashing mode provides a light output of 17 lumens  

Weighing in at just 86 grams (52 grams without batteries) this is a compact but powerful and very versatile lightweight head torch. The Rayfall HP3A Head Torch also features a useful tilt facility and is waterproof to IPX6 standard.

Unlike some low cost head torches which can be quite large and cumbersome, and hence are prone to bobbing about on your head or slipping with movement, these compact and lightweight Rayfall Head Torches sit nicely and firmly. And in comparison to some super-expensive, high-end head torches, there are no bulky battery packs and cabling to contend with.
