Why buy Take a Look Mirror?

It's simply the finest CLIP ON bicycle mirror made.  Not for conspicuous consumption. This mirror is built to last.  SIMPLYDELUXE warrants your mirror for life!  It features stay put position and maximum adjustability, and it is equipped with an extra fine quality optical mirror.  I used to work for the Optical Laser Diagnostic Group in the Space Division of TRW, so I should know!

Here's the 1/2 inch extra long arm standard "ORIGINAL" version, (Preferred by many Tandem and Bent riders)  This version offers a slightly greater image bounce angle to allow the user an improved view around their tandem stoker or their wider bent seat or greater body girth at the bent seating postion.

The quality is unsurpassed by any other mirror.  It's just simply the best.  Each Take A Look mirror is painstakingly assembled by hand right here in the U.S.A.  Yes, you're probably wondering why?  Why build anything here?  Well, if your asking yourself that, then rejoice as the Chinese Automobiles are coming soon, and you can trade in your Chevy for a Cherry.

Note: When you purchase, this item the ORIGINAL version, in the 1/2 inch longer version will be sent automatically.  See my other auctions for the 1 inch longer arm version. Note:  The right hand version will be sent automatically to Japan, Australia, and the U.K.

Adapter on Helmet

Mirror on Visor

Compact Mirror on Eyeglasss Temple.

Here is a shot of the compact version mounted to a set of modern sports glasses...  As you can see here, the original or an even extra long version would allow a more advantages placement of the mirror further out front of the left lens.   The aerodynamic curvature of the lenses do provide a greater field of vision...  But you still have to move your eye further to see through the mirror that must be placed futher back on the temple piece then with more conventional eyeglasses.

THE ILLUSTRATIONS ABOVE ARE OF THE ORIGINAL STANDARD ARM LENGTH VERSIONS.  Your arm will be 1/2 inch longer than that shown on the original versions depicted.  Mirror size remains the same as original model.

The Helmet Adapter option:  If you would like an adapter for use on Visorless Helmets... You simply add $4.95 to your payment.  If you are having difficulty doing that, simply ask for a special invoice before you pay.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  You may use the original extra long version on your Eyeglasses as well.

THIS MIRROR COMES WITH A limited LIFETIME WARRANTY, It may be returned to me or to the manufacturer with $.50 and we will repair it and return it to you.   Now, the previous facts about warranty & repair probably answers the question, why it's made in the U.S.A.?

Recumbent & Tandem users ~ You will receive the Original in a the special longer 1/2 inch longer version automatically.  This is only available on the original Left hand mount version only

Greetings:  We are now the exclusive distributor of the mirror with Laika the Russian Terrier Dog, hereby referred to as "PINK DOG" The Pink Dog head shot is for use on this mirror. (No association with the term "PINKO" here, as the dark pink was just decidedly the best looking and most visible color)  The likeness is to commemorate, and honor the memory of the famous First Dog in space, which by the way, just reached the 50th aniversary.  This Service Mark was used as the mascot of the famous, but now, sad to say, Defunct REST STOP bicycle accessory only shop of Sacramento California. We will be Enclosing the Pink Dog Sticker with every mirror purchased.  This is to dress up the back side of your new mirror, and makes you an honorary member of the Pink Dog Safe Cycling Society, and moreover is a symbol that represents you as both supporter and participant of safe cycling practices.  Laika is a symbol of bicycle safety and good fellowship and mutual support among serious MARATHON, COMMUTER, and TOURING CYCLISTS WORLDWIDE.  Far too many cyclists are killed every year by motorists. Most of these tragic accidents were avoidable.  So, remember, to be safer rider, you must strive to ride predicatbly and always follow the rules of the road.  Try to be as visible to motorists as possible.  Remember to ride defensively, and never leave a motorist guessing as to your next move.

Please, and I cannot stress this enough, don't make agressive and derogatory jestures at motorists.  Be courteous, don't demand the right of way, if the motorist cannot pass you safely without risking peril to himself, to you, or to other motorists, take a moment to pull off to the right and let the motorist get by.  I know it sounds a little corny and simplistic, and for those of you that chose to run traffic lights, pass moving vehicles on the right, especially at or near intersctions, and for those who never bother to wear a safety helmet, the PINK DOG concept probably won't appeal to you.  But, I am ever the optimist, so there's always hope for the future.

QUALITY FOREVER!
