From the Greek Empire colony of Apulia ca 350 BC. We have here a very fine Greek miniatures pottery pouring vessel called a Prochous decorated with waves and chevrons.
With a bulbous base, long thin neck and sweeping handle, decorated in red-figure technique with starburst motif on the shoulders. This is a wonderful miniature as fine as any larger vessel created in this region of the world. Over all a very elegant piece.
Height: 6" tall x 2 1/2" diam
Condition: Very Good with minor restoration.
