A good, Chinese carved, lacquered wooden box, dating to the 19th Century. The cinnabar lacquer is carved on the top with three figure among pine trees. Key fret border. Black lacquer to the interior and beneath the base. Measuring 5.25" x 5.25" long, and 2" high. The red lacquer has some damage to the lid on one side and two corners, and the interior of the lid has minor damage to one side (see photos).
