What is Palm Oil?

Organic palm oil is an oil derived from the fruit of organic oil palm trees, it is solid but soft at room temperature, similar to the consistency of a body butter. It is a creamy white colour, and has a neutral scent.

Palm oil is heavily involved in the deforestation of the rainforest, which often takes place to make way for palm plantations. This has a huge impact on our natural world and should be resisted at all costs. Our palm oil has been certified by the RSPO (Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil), and our certification number is 9-1737-16-000-00.

What is Palm Oil used for?

Palm oil is primarily used in the making of soap, lotions, body butters, moisturisers and creams. It is best used in a recipe that uses coconut oil, to balance the drying effects of too much coconut oil.

How will my Palm Oil come packaged?

Our organic palm oil is packaged in either a resealable pouch, or a clear plastic tub depending on your selection. If you prefer to have your palm oil in a tub, or if you live in a hot area, then please make sure to select the tub option.

How should I store my Palm Oil?

Palm oil is perfectly happy at room temperature, palm oil melts at 35C. It is best kept out of the direct sunlight, and sealed.
