Water Rocket Launcher

        Water rocket launcher will enable you to send flying ordinary plastic (PET) soda bottles at 100m/300 ft or more! it does not need a long assembly, just an ordinary bicycle pump, a soft drink bottle and water. With an easy 1 minute set up the Water Rocket is ready to launch. This launcher does not require advanced settings for each new bottle and installation materials. This kit is ideal for young science enthusiasts, especially those interested in rocketry and space flight and for all who love fun games outdoors. These fun experiments always attract attention and charm all around!

The kit includes: T-type base, R-type trigger, 2 fasteners, 2 galvanized spikes

Construction details.

The kit includes two fasteners for installation on the lawn (ground) or by means of screws, for example on a wooden surface. This mounting method provides absolute stability and allows for tilting the launcher, convenient to install rocket (bottle) without losing water.

The valve allows for the connection of the pump, if necessary, to relieve pressure in the system. A trigger connected to the base of 1/2 inch thread. Metal thread coated makes the connection secure and impervious to corrosion. The sealing rubber ring makes the connections are tight. The launcher tube is made of high-strength PVC pipe reinforced with fiberglass.

Almost fully assembled! All you need to do is screw launch pipe into base! The device is made detachable for easy transport. Used in the manufacture of standard pipe and fittings. Details are joined by welding (glue is not used). For the plug connections are used with metal threaded fittings.

Launch mechanism allows complete control start time. The presence of the valve allows, if necessary, refuse to run and let the air out of the system. Vertical launching tube sets the correct trajectory (right direction of flight) of the bottle / rocket. Launcher has no wooden parts, deformed and leaving damaged by water. All this allows us to do launches safe and durable service life launcher.

With our unique mounting design and launch manifold, it is virtually impossible for a launch failure.  Bottle is firmly secured and will not eject until the launch rope is firmly pulled. Younger youth may need help pulling the rope as it is secured that firmly.

Advantages of soda rockets: All materials except for tape can be found in your recycling bin! Rockets can be filled with a bicycle pump making launching possible anywhere!

 Launch Instructions

         Choose a safe area such as a huge field or  park away from people, trees, and residences to launch plastic bottles (rockets). Launcher supports most 0.5L, 1L, 1.5L and 2 liter plastic (PET) bottles. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family that is used in soda pop bottles. Serious bodily injury could result from using any other type of bottle.

Assemble the launcher.

Secure the launcher with the two included tent pegs so that it does not move when you pull on the string.

Use only water and/or air for fuel. Fill the bottle 1/6 to 1/3 full of water.

Tilt your launcher and set the bottle or a water rocket.

Attach the air source to the valve on the launcher. Be sure all persons are at least 10 feet away from the launcher, then begin pumping. Launcher supports air pressures between 20 PSI up to 120 PSI. Stop pumping once you achieve the PSI that you desire. Finally, pull the string from a safe distance and out of the splash zone to release the trigger and launch the bottle. Enjoy!

 

Notes

You can produce a rocket launch without fixing the trigger. When this occurs when the starting pressure of 4 MPa = 60 PSI
