This crimping tools allows a future upgrade path - for example, initially you might only have a need to crimp medium sized crimp pins - but at a later date you are faced with crimping much smaller crimp pins ...simple - just buy & fit the smaller die plate! Furthermore, if you purchase the other two die plate sets available, you will have the capability to crimp a multitude of different sized crimp pin types without having to have many crimping tools cluttering up your tool case. 

The PAD-13 comes with one die plate (the PAD-13S, size 'L') already fitted,with two other die plate sets - the 'PAD-11S' & the 'PAD-12S' - available to buy separately.
