The bottle had never seen the light of day prior to listing.  

A pre barcode 10.2cm / 4" tall oval box which was introduced at the end of the 1970s to co-ordinate with YSLs iconic Opium packaging. 

A stunning 10.2cm / 4" tall oval based black glass columnar bottle highlighted by a heavy chrome collar & unmistakable striped screw cap. 

The first parfum I ever bought for myself, & trying this for the first time today has knocked me out ( it's like being transported back in time), for it is glorious, there is no other word for it. The box is in A1 mint condition, but the very top of the screw cap has lost a little paint, for it had had become almost welded to the thin foam which used to line the top of the oval box, I have since removed what was left of the foam..
