Beautiful paper mache lacquer over straw set of nesting baskets in excellent condition.  There is a stable crack just under the rim of the largest basket that is covered by the lid ...  please see photo. This will not go any further and only adds to the set's character.  Hand painted in beautiful cinebar color with gold and black, and straw has taken on a nice warm patina. Baskets range in diameter from 5" to 7 5/8". Height of largest basket is 3 3/4". Total weight of set is only 17 oz.  Would make a beautiful gift!
