Publisher's original full brown decorative blindstamped brown textured cloth, lettered in gilt on spine, top edge gilt, chocolate endpapers. Cloth rubbed, especially at tips and extremities, spine chipped on top and bottom with fraying. Binding a bit skewed, front hinge cracked. A good copy.
Some of the 'Gods and Heroes' included are Achilles, Cupid and Psyche, Furies, Icarus, Pandora, Pegasus, Penelope, Prometheus, Styx, Troy, Ulysses and many more. Poetry by Mrs. Browning, Byron, Coleridge, Homer, Keats, Longfellow, Machiavelli, Milton, Shakespeare, Virgil, Wordsworth and many other prominent authors.
