You are buying a natural fibre 3-strand construction sisal rope in various diameters and lengths. We stock this from 6mm upto 24mm in diameter.
Sisal rope is made from a hard natural fibre. It has excellent resistance to sunlight, little stretch and good knot-holding ability. As sisal rope is a natural fibre rope it is hairy in appearance. Please note all sisal ropes are treated with a vegetable oil during manufacture but it is safe to use with all animals.
Ideal for use with pets and animals especially on cat scratching posts. Also used as a garden rope. Please note that the rope is a natural fibre rope so will degrade over time. The rope can be treated with linseed oil/ Clear decking oils etc to prolong it's life and also to stop the rope from going black if being used for decking. Also as it's a natural fibre rope the rope will shrink in length by approx 15% & expand in girth when wet so please take this into consideration if using for decking etc. Please note if buying multiple diameters and lengths, the rope can be from different manufacturers. Colour is a light sandy colour.
