In fully labelled zip lock bag (see photos)
Agapanthus are a popular favourite in many
Australian gardens due
to the fact that they are so hardy and adaptable to
almost any climate.
Agapanthus cope very well with drought
and even grow well in
the snowy regions!
Often this species is seen as a border plant in
gardens or along
driveways. With it's long, dark green strappy
foliage and those magnificent
tall standing balls / clusters of flowers, it is
also suitable for growing in
pots as a feature for their ornamental value. This
species can flower
from Spring all the way through to early winter in
the right
spot, frost will kill off the flower buds.

AGAPANTHUS
Step 1
Fill small starter pots with a mixture of part soil
and part sand.
Place two seeds per pot directly onto the surface.

approximately 1 mm of further soil & moisten

or hose to avoid disturbing the seeds.
Step 2
Place pots outdoors in a mostly shaded but well lit
area.
Cover the pots with clear plastic wrap to maintain
warmth.
Avoid letting the soil dry out completely.
Ideal temperatures for germination are
22-26°C/70-80°F
Step 3
Germinaton averages at around 3-5 weeks.
Seedlings can be transplanted when they reach 5cm
in height.
Step 4
Grow the Agapanthus seedlings in a warm, bright
area until autumn.
Introduce to full sun gradually over 10 days.
Transplant them into a permanent bed in Spring. Be
sure that the soil is well

some shade. This species is drought tolerant and
