In response to demand from our Zero-Mod Ric users,
we now offer a Zero-Mod Thumb Rest for Fender Jazz!
We make these in black and clear - please see our other listing for the clear one.
(The last pic shows the clear version on a Fender Jazz Bass.)

Do you find there's not enough "meat" to grab onto from the neck pickup because it's set so far down into the body?
Do you have a Jazz without the factory provided mounting holes?
Do you want to maintain the resale value of your Geddy Lee Edition (or any other model) by keeping it "all original" and not "muck it up" ?

This requires NO modification to your Jazz Bass, and gives you the range and reach of the classic Fender rest.
If you have a Jazz without the factory rest, and without the holes in the guard to add one, this is for you!
Easy on - Easy off.....Uses the existing pickguard mounting holes on your Jazz (see the pics).

It's made of top quality acrylic on precision CNC machinery -- NOT molded --
Right here in the USA in a NY machine shop.
Comes with two slightly longer screws that account for the thickness of the rest,
so it doesn't even change the screw holes of your bass.

It's invisible on a black guard from a few feet away.

(We also make this in CLEAR  - Just see our other listings)

Lifetime guarantee against breakage.(see below)

Will it fit my Jazz Bass????

Please make sure your pickguard screw pattern will allow the Zero-Mod Jazz1 rest to fit.

See the Pic with a Jazz guard outline. Should fit most Geddy Lee, American Standard, Mexican Jazz,
Fender Squier and many others depending on model year.  Also fits the G&L JB

BUT
- Look to see if your guard has the two holes, in the same locations, as the guard in the picture.
This one WILL NOT FIT any other pattern!

If you have a screw OVER the neck pickup, or just to a bit the side of it  - THIS WILL NOT FIT!

We have another version for the Lakland Osborne and 70's Jazz Bass -- the ZM-Jazz2
There are MANY variations on the Jazz guard...  We hope to someday accommodate all of them.  If neither fits yours, contact us.

Why does it cost so much ???
This is NOT a "hollow, mass-produced, blow-molded in China" unit.
It's made by precision CNC machinery in very small batches here in the USA.
It's solid polycarbonate, and has a feel 3D printing or molding can't give you (IMHO).
Think of it as craft beer compared to Bud....
It's about the price of a single set of quality strings, but changes the comfort of playing your bass forever.

Shipping in the USA $4.00 - Worldwide $12.00  (Sorry for the increase, recent stupidity with International Shipping  has forced this!)
If you are outside the USA, please look into any "VAT" or Customs fees you may incur with a purchase.
They are outside of my control.

****   Lifetime guarantee is for structural integrity only, does not include cosmetic damage from normal wear and use (scratches etc) or abuse - As determined upon examination of a returned rest.

International buyers - Jan 2016 USPS jumped the rates massively - Reclassifying parcels so we now have to pay the 8 oz rate for a 2 oz item!  Rate went from $9 to $13 in in ONE GO.  We also have to pay increased Ebay commissions on that increased rate.   We are sorry for this but NONE of it goes into OUR pockets.
