LONGUE De NICE is a lovely old heirloom pumpkin variety originating from the area of Nice in Southern France. The fruit is medium to large, an oversized curved butternut shape, with smooth rind that starts out dark green and matures into a lovely tan/dull orange colour. The medium length, low vines are heavy producers of fruit ranging from 3kg to 5kg, but I believe 10kg is possible, in around 100 days.  Inside, the firm orange flesh is moist and sweet with a very tasty flavour. The seeds are all in the bulb end, which leaves oodles of great flesh.  Min 8 SEEDS.

We test grow each variety first to ensure they will  perform in Australian conditions. Our seed is produced on our specialized seed farm, allowing us to guarantee its freshness, purity and reliability.  AS WITH ALL PUMPKINS, FRESHLY HARVESTED FRUIT SHOULD BE RESTED IN A WEATHERPROOF LOCATION FOR 2 TO 4 WEEKS BEFORE EATING. THIS ALLOWS THE FLAVOUR TO MATURE AND SWEETEN AND THEY WILL, WITHOUT DOUBT, TASTE BETTER FOR IT.
