It is double matted, the paper on the back of the frame has torn. Frame is in good shape with just a few scratches. Very nice picture. Sold as is.

Artist & Author Biography


Bertie Stroup Marah was born in New Mexico in 1939 and moved to Western Colorado in 1962.


Her work was featured in American Artist “Watercolor” magazine in the Spring 1995 and Fall 1999 issues.


She is a Signature Member of the Colorado Watercolor Society and The Western Colorado Watercolor Society. Her work has been included and sold in The Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition, The C.M. Russell Show and Auction, Old West Museum Western Spirit Art Show in Cheyenne, WY, A.R. Mitchel Memorial Museum of Western Art, Nicolaysen Art Museum Wildlife Show and Arizona Aqueous Show.


For three consecutive years she was a “quick draw artist” at the C.M. Russell Show and Auction. Bertie has received numerous awards in local, state, and national shows. Her work is included in private and corporate collections, banks, libraries, and hospitals nationwide.
