Used to visually determine the position of the model in airspace at dusk and at night, as well as to find the model that crashed.
Just imagine the situation: your model crashed into tall grass, and you can not find it. Just wait until nightfall. You can easily find your model by bright flashes.
In stroboscope installed high-brightness LEDs, so in the dark it can be seen at a distance of 200 meters. Self-powered by a small lithium battery allows the beacon to work for at least 2 days (48 hours) independently from main battery of the model. This greatly increases the chances of model rescue in case of the crash.
When used on a quadrocopter recommended to install 2 strobes on the different sides (top and bottom) so one of the beacons are always facing up.
Instructions:
1. Install the battery CR2032 (not included)
2. Turn on the beacon with the side switch and make sure it works. Turn off the beacon.
3. Place the beacon in the transparent heat shrink so that the side switch is free to operate. Use approximately 3 cm of heat shrink. This is to ensure that the battery will not come out of it's place in possible crash, and the beacon will continue working. Also heat shrink serves as a light diffuser.
4. Set beacon on the model, for example using a plastic zip tie.
5. Turn on the beacon before take off.
6. Turn off the beacon after landing.
