URIAH HEEP ~ Salisbury ~ UK VERTIGO SWIRL 1971 1ST PRESS 1Y 11 3 / 2Y 11 5 EX

This is an original 1971 UK first pressing of Salisbury, Uriah Heep, vertigo swirl label, with 

matrix and stampers as follows: 

6360028 1 Y* 1 420 1 3 / 6360028 2Y*1 1 5

 

This is a generally clean copy, the outer cover has only a little wear to spines and corners, 

it's free of any creasing. There is a small "R" written in biro on the back cover, bottom 

extreme left, only noticed as I'm writing this description, barely noticeable as half over a 

dark background. The inner gatefold is generally clean. The original swirl inner is un-torn 

with some soiling and creases. The labels are free of any soiling, each has a few spindle 

marks. The vinyl on the a-side has one very small scuff and a few very light hairlines. The 

b-side is free of anything other than a couple of very light hairlines. The album's 

obviously been played , but the vinyl surface is still bright, glossy and free of 

any audible wear. Sounds great, with no background hiss and hardly a sound between 

tracks. So not a mint copy, but a very nice playing copy.
