The cornerstone of the collection, the Layer represents the industrial aesthetic of MINUS-8. Layer is the result of an uncompromised vision to build a watch of individually layered strata.

This process took us over a year to develop and resulted in a striking watch that communicates luxury and precision. The result is a stadium effect of 6 layers of 316L bonded steel flowing from the exterior to the interior of the watch face uninterrupted in one unified gesture.

40+ Hours Power Reserve

The Layer holds a power reserve of 40+ hours. 24 jewel bearings reduce friction within the watch case, allowing the highly durable parts to work flawlessly in a virtually maintenance-free environment. At 21,600 vibrations per hour, the Layer 24 has a high accuracy of time keeping. The balance wheel’s oscillations are viewable through the clear sapphire crystal face back.

Sapphire Crystal

On a 1 to 10 scale with a diamond being a 10, sapphire crystal measures a 9. Approaching the incredible strength of a diamond, sapphire crystal lenses were chosen due to their remarkable scratch-resistance, clarity and strength; the same material used for shatter-resistant armored vehicles and tactical body armor.
