HOW TO GROW

STRAWBERRIES

 

Step 1

Place seeds into a plastic zip-lock with a small handful of moist seed raising 

mix and place in the fridge for around 4 weeks. 

 

Step 2

After 4 weeks sow seeds onto the surface of seed raising mix in seed trays

 or small pots. Moisten and then move to a sunny position.

Germination time can vary from 2-6 weeks.

 

Step 3

Seedlings can be transplanted once three leaves are growing.

Once all chance of frost has passed they can be moved directly into the ground.

 

Step 4

Even when established, will require regular watering and daily checking

through summer when flowers and fruiting occurs.

Strawberries will take between 12-18 months to bear fruit.
