This is a 930nm single mode laser diode, which can output 100mW kink free optical power from its 5μm aperture. It was p-down bonded on TO-5 (9mm TO can), which was made in the USA. It came to us with a lot of other electronic/opto-electronic related surplus. We have 143 such lasers in stock. The lasers are brand new not used.

Return policy:

  • We will test the lasers before shipment; buyer should contact us as soon as he find it is defective;
  • Refund request should be made within 14 days buyer receives the product;
  • Replacement request should be made within 30 days buyer receives the product;
  • Since this is a Do-It-Yourself laser diode, we only refund if the product arrive to be defective; so please use it gently and properly when you assemble your device; you also need to send back in original shape to get refund/replacement; we won't refund or replace if the laser was damaged by buyers;

 

 

Some tips for operating laser diode:

  • Please use a power supply with stable output. Transient current spikes should be avoided.
  • Please always connect the pins correctly.
  • Heat sink with good thermal dissipation is required for holding the laser otherwise the laser will be burned.
  • Please use eye protection when you operate the laser.
  • It is better to wear an antistatic wrist band.
  • You should always start with current well below the diodes maximum (about 0.20 amps in this case).
