These tiles have a softer Matte Finish: A pencil can easily write on matte tiles .

These tiles are 4-3/8 inches by 4-3/8 inches and 5/16 inch thickness.

Using my digital calipers tiles measure 4.34" wide and .33" thickness.

These tiles do not have self-spacing lugs and will need to be hand spaced as needed.

Mosaic Tile Company of Zanesville, Ohio, was started by Karl Langerbeck and Herman Mueller in 1894. Frederick Hurten Rhead, the famous potter, worked at Mosaic Tile Company from 1922 to 1923. Many types of plain and ornamental tiles were made until 1959. The company closed in 1967.
