"Liberty Flags"

Dimensions: 29" W x 18" L

Designed and hand-hooked by Nancy Reding.

Nancy Reding began hooking rugs in 1995 in a Quail Hill workshop under the tutelage of designer Marion Ham. She has taken instruction from primitive rug hookers including Sherri Heber, Dick LaBarge, Julie Marie Smith, Abby Vakay, and Mary Burton. She was accepted into the juried Waterford Festival in Waterford, VA in 1999 and also demonstrated there for several years. She was asked to be one of the original rug designers in "The Art Rugs: The Art of Playing Cards" traveling rug hooking exhibit curated by Linda Rae Coughlin in 2004. Nancy designed and hooked the Four of Clubs rug which featured four bears in an Adirondack stream.

Nancy uses only wool on linen or cotton backing. She dyes much of the wool herself.

She has retired from rug hooking and these rugs are her unused backstock. All have been stored in a smoke-free home. Rugs may be used on the floor or hung on the wall.
