Hardcover, bound in black linen with photo-litho half.
Embossed silver foil spine lettering. Insets of transparent
vellum wonderfully designed typography and book-craft.

varnish on cover, some faint edge wear, slight bumping
on bottom spine. Foil on spine is not abraded and near perfect.
Linen is clean and black. Inside pages are pristine with
no marks, tears, or stains. This limited edition is hard
to find, out of print, and an excellent folio of the
works of Brassai as master photographer.

His friend Henry Miller called him "the eye of Paris",
hence the title. From high-society to the dregs of Paris,
dancers, prostitutes, homeless, artists, debutantes,
landscapes, cafes; he captured the life of Paris in the
heyday of the Art Nouveau period.

An incredible collection of his works, printed in large format,
in the highest-quality printing available.
This Brassai book would be a meaningful addition to
a photographer or art aficionado library collection.
