They have an anthemion heel, Assayed in London by fine maker Francis Higgins.They are dated 1859-year letter d. Hallmarks are deep and clear. Their length is a fraction over 9 inches. Collectively they weigh a staggering 602 grams (19.36 troy ounces) and each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout. They have great bowls with no wear and are of perfect shape. They are engraved to the front with contemporary initials and always have been,definitely no erasures either.

In great order and a really high quality set of flatware. 

A functional mid Victorian lot in this highly desirable (and traditional) pattern.
