If you are unfamiliar with Time’s frames, you should look over some reviews and take a look at the link mentioned below. In brief, Time is meticulous about every detail of their frames—everything is done in house. They custom weave their own proprietary carbon fibers, and utilize the different carbon weaves, compositions, Vectran, and resins in different regions of the frame to optimize ride quality. The technology, called Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) is usually reserved for military aircraft. It allows a complete freedom of shape in the frame’s development, so that every curve, bend and edge of the frame, as well as it’s carbon composition is purpose-designed to optimize power transfer but absorb vibration. This is an entirely different animal than the omnipresent open mold Chinese and Taiwanese frames that nearly every other large bicycle manufacturer produces. Time is so confident in their builds that they offer a lifetime warrantee against manufacturing defects. Because of the meticulous process, Time frames are expensive and somewhat rare, highly sought after, and always a conversation piece. If you have the opportunity to ride one (even better, race it) -- take it.

The proprietary QUICKSET headset is genius. Exceedingly easy to adjust. The bike has an integrated seat mast that can be shortened to allow for shorter riders. The mast on this frame has not been cut. Distance from center of BB to seat rails currently is 76cm, and there is plenty of room to move up or down from there.

To give you an idea of frame weight, the full bike as seen in these pictures is built with Campy Record 10-sp group, 3T aluminum stem/bars, Mavic aluminum rims/hubs, and aluminum ROTOR powermeter crankset – despite this the bombproof build is only 16lbs. If the new owner wanted to choose lighter carbon components, one could easily get this sub 15lbs.
