If you're looking for an original 1971 Mach 1 to restore, it doesn't get much better than this! This is a 3 owner car that retains it's original, numbers matching 351 Cleveland... and only has 41k miles! This car was parked in 1984 due to a faulty ignition coil and not driven again until it was sold at an estate sale earlier this year. A new ignition coil, gas tank and some fresh tires is all this old girl needed. She is ready to be restored and enjoyed once again. Runs and drives great! I would trust this car to drive cross country if needed.
I have been careful to keep this car as original as possible. Any parts that have been changed in order to get it running have been kept. In addition to the parts mentioned above, a new carburetor and radiator were installed for better reliability. Original ignition coil, carb, gas tank and radiator will be included with the vehicle when it sells.
Due to the way the car was stored for all those years, the car will need all new floor pans when restored due to rust. There are also some small rust spots in the trunk wheel wells in the usual areas. Surface rust on the hood and body can easily be addressed with a paint job. This car is being offered in UNRESTORED condition, as it was found. Restore it if you like, or enjoy it as is. IT IS ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE!
