The Motorola MC6809 is a historical microprocessor and considered by many to be the best 8-bit made in the 70s and 80s. This CPU was found in:

  • Tandy Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer
  • Fujitsu FM7 and 8
  • Dragon 32 and 64
  • Tano Dragon
  • Commodore SuperPET
  • Thomson O7, TO7/70, TO8, TO8D, TO9, TO9Plus, MO5, MO6, MO5E and MO5NR
  • Numerous home brew kits and SWTPC systems
  • Various 80s arcade machines
  • and many more
Interesting enough, it was also used in many appliances, industrial equipment and other control systems such as Cruise Control in some cars. This is the Blackwell Scientific Publications volume that covers topics to understand microprocessors, their architecture and control systems. Hardware and programming aspects are also described. This book would be a perfect companion to my 6809 Assembly Language book that I am also selling on eBay.
